چکیده

Received Jun 12 th , 2016 Revised Aug 20 th , 2016 Accepted Aug 26 th , 2016 Software Requirement Analysis is one of the most important and critical activity of software development, that affects the development cost and success of end product. This paper proposes to add both formal and informal specifications of NFR to Request for Proposal document. It ought the developers to focus on each NFR right from the beginning of development process. In this paper NFRs are specified informally by extended use case and formally by proposed extension to Formal Reference Model. The paper claims that the proposed add-ons related to NFRs are qualitative one and can be considered as standard add-ons in RFP documents to deal with NFRs. It shall act as important step during early planning system for designing and implementing proposed software. The complete procedure is illustrated using a general case of cafeteria ordering framework. Keyword:

Specification of Non-Functional Requirements: A Hybrid Approach

When specifying user requirements, not only it is critical to ensure correct and unambiguous specification of functional requirements, but also that of non-functional requirements (NFRs). In fact, resolving ambiguities from user specified natural language NFRs and specifying the correct ones in a formal language have attracted significant attention. Our current research focuses on the issues pe...

Capturing Non-functional Software Requirements Using the User Requirements Notation

Non-functional requirements (NFRs) are crucial software requirements that have be specified early in the software development process while eliciting the functional software requirements (FRs) [1,2]. NFRs can be viewed as additional constraints that have to be satisfied by the functional requirements. The non-satisfaction of NFRs is one of the main reasons for the failure of software projects. ...

An Ontological Interpretation of Non-Functional Requirements

Non-functional requirements (NFRs) have been the focus of research in Requirements Engineering (RE) for more than 20 years. Despite this attention, their ontological nature is still an open question, thereby hampering efforts to develop concepts, tools and techniques for eliciting, modeling, and analyzing them, in order to produce a specification for a system-to-be. In this paper, we propose to...
